About Me Personal <div style="text-align: left;">My husband and I have a teenage son and live west of Boston, MA where we are involved in our church, Redeemer Presbyterian (PCA). I teach a women's Bible study and help with a variety of tasks at the church like the website and women's outreach. <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;">I'm actively involved in sustainable agriculture and community supported farm to table distribution networks. I love being outdoors, gardening and exploring the beauty that is New England. <div style="text-align: left;"> <div style="text-align: left;">My interests include photography, geeky gadgets, all things Apple, theology, cooking sustainable agriculture, bioethics and of course the INTERNET!<div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left;">   Professional I work as a nonprofit technology strategist helping organizations connect and build relationships with a young online generation, as well as explore new ways to reach out to an increasingly online older generation. Building awareness, creating avenues for engagement and feedback, encouraging community and connections while strengthening online and offline relationships are the primary objectives of my work. Living in the Boston area has given me the chance to network in the diverse and often progressive nonprofit world of greater Boston. Working with some of the most up-to-date progressive engagement philosophies and tools helps me bring fresh, goal-oriented ideas to ministries and nonprofits. My background is strategic planning. I bring a listening-focused approach to evaluating technology solutions that help build community. Although I love the tools, the gadgets and the latest internet and social media toys - it is easy to get lost in believing the right tool will bring the solution. With a strategic focus this can be avoided.   My objective is to learn a organization's mission, vision, current and long term objectives and then guide them in mapping out a measurable plan using strategic and targeted technology solutions to help them meet their goals. Using analytical tools I help evaluate online campaign effectiveness and advise on new strategies and ways to enhance current online listening and engagement tools to strengthen community, listening, interaction, learning and cause awareness.   Since the late 1970's I've been involved in social media as part of an original CompuServe/AOL focus group, testing member-to-member interactive tools and groups. To this day I'm active personally and professionally on a variety of social networking platforms. I've learned there is a lot more to social networking then numbers of followers or friends, it's about engagement, deepening connections and establishing a trusted and authoritative voice in the online space you inhabit. I work at this personally and help others professionally become a known and trusted voice in their social networks. I've worked with churches, missionaries, community groups, support organizations and a variety of nonprofits helping them implement thoughtful, customized and strategic communication and engagement strategies using technology solutions.
